A two car collision on Interstate 95 sent one person to the hospital on Tuesday.
The first driver, 77, of Durham Conn., was taken by ambulance to MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta after complaining of head and neck pain, according to Maine State Police. His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
The second driver, 75, of Halifax, Nova Scotia, was treated at the scene for a hand injury. His passenger was not injured in the crash.
The accident happened Tuesday on north I-95 when driver two merged into driver one’s lane causing his vehicle to spin and roll over several times in the median before coming to rest on its wheels.
Fortunately, all involved were wearing seat belts or the injuries would have been more serious, said police.
